East Hampton's weekend-long Old Home Days Glorious Celebration, this year celebrating its 34th consecutive year, is not that far away. Though it may still be winter and we have just turned the calendar page to 2012, it is never too early to think ahead and contemplate a fun-filled weekend in July...

Cool Doings
Continuously famous for presenting Middlesex County's largest parade and for hosting the 5K Glorious Gallop road race, Old Home Days also features a stellar carnival, great food, raffles and giveaways; and some of the most stunning entertainment acts from Connecticut and beyond.

Where and When
As always, the festivities will be held on the field that lies between Center School, the East Hampton Post Office, and the Congregational Church in East Hampton's historic Village Center. Old Home Days 2012 takes place from Thursday, July 12 though Saturday, July 14 and is all about celebrating and sharing the spirit and force of our spectacular community.

Old Home Day 2012 Parade Theme : Name That Theme Idea Box
During the late 2011 holiday season, the Old Home Day Committee invited local residents to Name That Theme! Seems as though oodles of creative theme proposals made their way in to the 2012 idea box, located at EH Public Library. Committee members opened the idea box, explored your proposals, and choose a short list of ten (10) ideas that invited the broadest possible creative participation in Old Home Days 2012.

Public Voting to Name That Theme! : It's Official
Online and by-paper ballot voting ended on Monday, February, 6th. Highest vote-getter was The Golden Age of Television. Put your TV show thinking caps on because this one is the fun theme for OHD 2012!

14th Annual Glorious Gallop
5K Road Race
Friday, July 13, 7:15 PM(non-sanctioned race)
The Glorious Gallop is a point to point 5K race that starts at Seven Hills Crossing. The race continues down Mott Hill and around beautiful Lake Pocotopaug, to the finish line at Center School. Click here to checkout 2011's race results.

Glorious Gallop Entry Fees and Race Application Form
Fee is $10.00 or $15 on the day of the race.
Fee for children under age 13 is $8.

Free T-shirts (while they last) for early registration

Awards to first 3 male and female finishers in each age group

Registration and Bib Pickup on the Center School Grounds
Thursday, July 12, 2012 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Friday, July 13, 2012 starting at 5 p.m. until 6:43 p.m.
There will be no bib pickup at the starting line.

Shuttle Bus Information
Shuttle bus service from the Center School grounds to the starting line starts at 6 p.m. Last shuttle bus leaves at 6:43 p.m. Please use the facilities before boarding the bus.
